Munich University Summer Training in German and European Law (MUST)

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in line with the direction of health authorities in Germany to avoid all non-essential travel, the board of directors of the LMU summer program made the decision to cancel the MUST program for 2020.

Students who have already been invited to the 2020 program during the early bird round will receive an email with further information in the upcoming days.

We invite all students to apply for the program next year.

  • Course: July 3 - 29, 2020

In July 2020 the Faculty of Law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität – one of the leading law faculties in Europe – offers a unique summer programme as part of the MISU for young lawyers and law students.

MUST does not only provide an in-depth introduction to German and European Law but also includes organised visits to legal landmarks such as the Federal Constitutional Court and many other extracurricular activities. The courses are taught by distinguished lecturers who are renowned academics but also practitioners.

MUST draws special attention to areas of law, which are of interest to foreign lawyers working in business law, i.e. German Contract Law, Competition Law and Tax Law.

MUST lectures are held in English.
