Health Insurance

During your stay in Munich, you will need to be covered by a German-approved provider of health insurance. For participants from countries of the European Union and those whose health insurance is valid in Germany, it is recommended that your EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) is brought with you. Further information can be obtained from your home health insurance company. For other students, we recommend: 

Accident Insurance

Please note that participants are insured against accidents only while on the Munich University campus. Neither Munich University nor the programme is liable for accidents that occur on the way to and from Munich University or for accidents that occur while on a programme excursion. Participation in the excursions is at one‟s own risk. Thus, we strongly recommend having private insurance against accidents if you do not have one already. Please contact the IUC for more information on where to obtain accident insurance.
